copylating

18 September 2006. Inspired by my photo collection.

Yes, another post about pornography. I don't want you, the congregation (and one member of said group in particular) to think that I'm obsessed. Perish the moist, tumescent thought. But circumstance and whimsy dictate my content, and thus it shall always be.

The circumstance in this case was picking up the latest issue of LDNM, a (counter) cultural magazine produced by a local bar/coffee shop/mini arts centre round the corner from my flat. Glancing through, I notice an article about Catalan porn director Sandra Uve, with a dayglo illustration by "txo!?". Hmm, it reminds me of something.

Here's the layout.

And here's what it reminded me of.

I'll forgive them, of course, because a) they have good green tea and free wifi, and b) I'm sure publications of mine have already or will one day infract in such a way, and I could do with the karma reserves (who recently beat the purgatory reserves 3-0). There's a slight irony postscript, which is that the boys and girls at Ladinamo recently won a landmark ruling regarding intellectual property and Copyleft, but that just makes me love them even more. All is forgiven (but I might try to wangle a free green tea next time I'm in there).

As ever in such things, their decision not to drop me a line means that they missed out on a much better image of Sandra that I've had no particular use for, and would almost certainly have given them for free (or at least for a free green tea). It photoshopped rather well, so I've placed that version at the head of this piece. May Google, and therefore all future interviewers of Miss Uve - particularly those with green tea - take note.
